It is the mission of East Limestone Volunteer Fire Department to promptly, compassionately, and professionally provide the highest level of emergency services to protect life and property through dedication, training, and service to the community of East Limestone.

About
East Limestone Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the residents of Eastern Limestone County. East Limestone Fire Department currently has an ISO rating of 5. ELVFD serves a primary response area of 56 square miles. This response area is made up of roughly 28,000 residents and 11,000 structures. The structures protected include 26 churches, 5 schools, multiple businesses, and thousands of residential structures. In addition the primary response area ELVFD provides automatic and mutual aid with multiple surrounding departments. East Limestone Fire Department currently has a roster of about 25 members. ELVFD is a 100% volunteer department. ELVFD is a member of the Alabama Association of Volunteer Fire Departments.
