East Limestone Volunteer Fire Department built the first 2 bays of station #1 in the late 1970’s. The station was built to establish fire protection to the residents in eastern limestone county.

East Limestone Volunteer Fire Department opened station #2 in 2018. This station was opened to better serve the residents in the southern portion of ELVFD’s response area.
